Designed with family at its heart, this project focused on maximising every available square metre to create a versatile outdoor space that could be enjoyed by all generations. The clients, proud grandparents, wanted a landscape that provided a private retreat for everyday living, generous entertaining spaces for family and friends, and plenty of opportunities for their grandchildren to play and explore.

To achieve this vision, we delivered a complete landscape transformation featuring a swimming pool, cantilever pergolas, expansive entertaining areas, premium paving and decking, an outdoor kitchen and a built-in pizza oven. Every element was carefully considered to create a highly functional outdoor environment while maintaining a clean, low-maintenance design.
A standout feature of the project was the integration of family-friendly elements within the landscape. A custom removable deck lid conceals a sandpit, providing a dedicated play area for the grandchildren while preserving valuable entertaining space when not in use. An outdoor shower with hot and cold water was also installed and discreetly positioned behind a contemporary V-joint screen for privacy and convenience.
The project involved complete site excavation and construction, transforming the property into a seamless extension of the home. Layered entertaining zones allow the space to adapt effortlessly from quiet relaxation to large family gatherings.
Planting was carefully selected to complement the built elements while adding softness and greenery throughout the landscape. Shade-loving species were incorporated behind the pergola to create a lush screening effect, while integrated garden beds within the decking accommodate climbing plants that will gradually soften the surrounding structures and house walls. The result is a welcoming outdoor retreat that balances functionality, comfort and natural beauty while remaining easy to maintain year-round
